V-MAIL (FULL SIZE) DATED 6-7-44
Dear Mary & C.K. –
I just recd. a V mail from you and was very glad to hear from you again. Guess you’re all excited about the big invasion yesterday aren’t you? I’m still in England and am doing fine. Hope you’re all the same. How’s Judy & Baby brudder doing these days? I slept most of the day today so guess I’m up on my sleep again for a few days. What’s new on Bellaire these beautiful days? I think I’ll make it my home after the war is over. Ok! Gee thanks. I’m sure going to be glad to get home again when this thing is over. I’m going to settle myself down in a 1 mile radius & never leave it again unless it’s absolutely necessary. I recd. a letter from Mom & Sis today & they’re still doing ok. I guess Sister is in college now isn’t she? I guess someone in the family has to have brains & it sure isn’t me. Ha! Did you ever find any film for Lee? How’s Aunt & Ernest doing out at the Blue Grass these days? I’ll bet things are rather dull for them now. They should pick up soon though. I’ve got to write my boss (Lee) again tonight so I’ll close for now. Hope this finds everyone allright & happy. Give my regards to Mrs Osborne & Fanny.
Love
Earl Jr.
