Dearest Mother –
Here it is another pretty Sat. afternoon and I am still doing super swell. I recd. two letters from you yesterday saying you weren’t very well. Sure hope you’re feeling much better now & well & happy again. I’d sure love to see your new “Hair Dress” now mom. I’ll bet it’s real cute isn’t it. Today is the day we draw our back flying pay. Guess I’ll get three months back pay today. If you haven’t sent that bond for Lee today or before don’t send it now. It’s to late. I don’t ask you to do very many things like that mom but please from now on will you do them please. Guess I’ll buy her one out of my flying pay. It only costs $37.50. I’ll send you about $50 this time soon as I get a money order. I’m really getting tired of this dam E.T.O. It really makes a guy homesick at times. I’m now a S/Sgt. Guess I’ll have to get a leave today and have a celebration. I was beginning to think I’d never get it. Tell Pop & Big Sis & Judy hello for me.
your loving Son forever
