TYNDALL FIELD – FLORIDA DATED 11-14-43
Dear Folks,
I guess I’m allmost a stranger to you I haven’t written for so long but I haven’t had a chance to this week. I have been flying all day for the past week and it is a lot of fun. We fly out over the Gulf & over Panama City.
I’m starting my last week of school in the morning and boy am I glad to be nearing the end of this course. It has been the toughest course I’ve ever had in Civilian or Army life either.
I’ll be coming home about the 28th of this month or the first of next month so get everything in shape because I’m going to do the town when I get there. Do you have any extra gas tickets saved up. I’ll be needing a few I expect because I may not get home again for quite some time. I have a million things I want to do when I get there & a lot of people I want to see.
Does Lee ever write you anymore. We don’t correspond much anymore since I blew my top. I’m sorry I did but it couldn’t be helped. Oh well – you know me. I get along. Ha! Ha!
I went to a dance last night and had lots of fun. We danced from eight last night till about 3:30 this morning and today being my day off I slept most of the day.
How’s little Judith Ann getting along now. I bet she’s a big girl isn’t she. I hardly knew her the last time I came home. She sure is cute, isn’t she?
Well it’s my bedtime & time for lights out so I will close for now. Be good & write soon. I hope to see you soon.
Love
