The Oldham County History Center will celebrate its new acquisition of an oil portrait of Kentucky Statesman, Henry Clay by well-known Antebellum portrait artist, Joseph Bush.  The painting was donated by Eleanor Bingham Miller.  Eleanor and her former husband, Rowland Miller, bought Kentucky treasures, such as this portrait of Clay, to keep them in Kentucky, knowing in the future they would find an important home for each piece.

To celebrate the Oldham County History Center will host the following activities on Dedication Day with performances and lunch to be held in the Rob Morris Chapel Education building on the campus:

11 a.m. Performance of Henry Clay by Ky. Heritage Council Chautauqua performer

Noon:   Catered lunch and special guest speaker, Eleanor Bingham Miller

1:00 p.m. Performance of Charlotte Dupuy by Ky. Heritage Council Chautauqua performer

There will be guided tours of the Mount Parlor Room in the J.C. Library and Archives Building from 10:30 to 11 am and 2 to 3 p.m. for participants.

Advanced Registration Required.  

Admission and lunch tickets:  Free for current Oldham County History Center members, $15 for non-members. Tickets are limited to 50 participants.  There will be no tickets sold at the door.
