Celebrating Black History Month
This special car tour features amazing places where people resisted the shackles of slavery and sought freedom for a new life. Includes a visit to a sacred antebellum cemetery where enslaved laborers and families were buried.
Based on the book, “A Tour of the Underground Railroad Along the Ohio River” , by author and Oldham County History Center executive director, Dr. Nancy Theiss. The Oldham County History Center has received two designations from the National Park Service on the Underground Railroad Network.
